To facilitate the circulation of screenplays, and enhance collaboration in the European film market, European Scripts Database gives producers FREE ACCESS to its content!

ESTABLISHED WRITERS: Writers with at least two feature length screenplays produced, or a complete TV series, or who have received ONE major award. Established writers’ screenplays may also be SOLICITED.

NEW WRITERS: Professional writers with one feature length screenplay produced or at least two short screenplays produced. New Writers’ screenplays may also be SOLICITED.

SOLICITED SCREENPLAYS: Screenplays developed through screenplay writing workshops, or commissioned, or financed in some way, in other words, already evaluated screenplays.

INDEPENDENT SCREENPLAYS: Independently written screenplays.

Screenplays are presented in two steps:

  1. Brief Presentation
    Title of Screenplay
    Writer’s Name
    Logline
    Screenplay Info (genre, medium, origin, no. of pages,)
    One page Synopsis
    Writer’s Biography
    10 page excerpt (optional)

  2. Full Presentation

    If – after reading a brief presentation - you want to read the whole screenplay (or an extensive Scene by Scene Treatment) you must submit a reading request (dated and signed) to European Scripts Database  for the specific screenplay. The request is then forwarded to the writer who is asked to confirm whether they want their screenplay to be read or not. Upon confirmation, the screenplay (or extensive Treatment) is automatically released to you FOR FREE.
